God is and ever shall be awesome! He has used gifts He has placed in me, gifts He placed in my friend Julia Fleshman, and in my pastor, Dr. Dennis Johnson, to bring about what has proved to be something truly miraculous.

My study of calligraphy began six years ago as a way for me to transition into my role as a stay-at-home mom. My friend, Julia Fleshman, (Baptist Temple church Secretary) has always been excited about my latest work and suggested that several designs that I had created would make wonderful note cards. I began to create note cards for her to see and critique and now she is my best customer! Through her encouragement I have created a line of note cards that I sell at our annual church bazaar and are on display at Integrated Healing Services in South Charleston, WV.

Julia Fleshman's office at Charleston Baptist Temple
My Pastor, Dr. Dennis Johnson, saw several pieces of my framed artwork in Julia's office and asked me if I would be willing to design Baptist Temple's bulletin covers for Lent. I am not one to ever say "NO". I have been designing the bulletin covers for Lent, Dr. Johnson's summer series, and Advent ever since. These bulletin covers are entitled "Illuminations of the Spirit".

I have always been interested in graphic design and producing visual representations of the written word. This inspiration has come to fruition through study with renowned Calligraphers: Pat Blair, Timothy Botts, Terry Quentrill, Jacqueline Sullivan, and Peter Thornton among others.
Among these pages you will find a variety of unique handcrafted note cards and journals as well as the original artwork for inspirational bulletin covers for Charleston Baptist Temple.
God has taken my gift and multiplied it over and over again. I have been able to bless and be blessed in more ways than I could ever tell you.
